English Composition 6 Punctuation

The correct use of punctuation marks is essential for good and accurate writing. A misplaced or wrong punctuation mark can at times alter completely the meaning of a sentence and thus the idea conveyed may be outright misunderstood.

നല്ലതും കൃത്യവുമായ എഴുത്തിന് വിരാമചിഹ്നങ്ങളുടെ ശരിയായ ഉപയോഗം അനിവാര്യമാണ്. ഒരു വിരാമചിഹ്നം തെറ്റായ സ്ഥാനത്ത് വരികയോ തെറ്റായി ഉപയോഗിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ, ഒരു വാക്യത്തിൻ്റെ അർത്ഥം പൂർണമായും മാറാൻ ഇടയാകും. അതിലൂടെ എഴുത്തുകാരൻ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച ആശയം തെറ്റായി മനസ്സിലാക്കപ്പെടാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്.
