ഇന്ന് കേരള കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയെ നയിക്കുന്ന അത്യുന്നത കർദ്ദിനാൾ മാരായ മാർ.ജോർജ് ആലഞ്ചേരി പിതാവും, മാർ. ക്ലിമ്മീസ് പിതാവും, മറ്റു നിരവധി പിതാക്കന്മാരും, ഉന്നതസ്ഥാനീയരായ വൈദികരുമടങ്ങുന്ന വലിയൊരു ശിഷ്യസമ്പത്ത് വെളിയത്തിലച്ചനുണ്ട്. സന്യസ്ഥരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ധ്യാനഗുരുവായിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം റോമിലും ജർമ്മനിയിലുമുള്ള വിവിധ സർവകലാശാല കളിൽ ഉപരിപഠനവും ഗവേഷണവും നടത്തി യിട്ടുള്ള കത്തോലിക്കാ അക്കാദമിക് രംഗത്തെ അഗാധ പണ്ഡിതനും വിനീത ജ്ഞാനിയു മാണ്. 12 വർഷക്കാലം പാലക്കാട് രൂപതയുടെ വികാരി ജനറലും 2 വർഷക്കാലം അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേറ്ററും ആയിരുന്ന വെളിയത്തിലച്ചൻ രൂപതയുടെ ചാൻസലർ, ജുഡീഷ്യൽ വികാർ എന്നീ തസ്തികകളും ദീർഘകാലം വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ദൈവവിളി സ്വീകരിച്ചവർ നേരിടേണ്ടി വരുന്ന നിരവധി പ്രതിസന്ധികളെ സ്വന്തം ജീവിതയാത്രയുടെ വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ വിശകലനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ആത്മാവിഷ്കാര ഗ്രന്ഥം വൈദികർക്കും, സന്യസ്ഥർക്കും, ദൈവവിളിയെ മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന അൽമായർക്കും ഒരുപോലെ ഉപകാരപ്രദമാണ്.

Fr. Velliyathil has guided many disciples, including Cardinal George Alencherry, Cardinal Baselios Cleemis, several bishops, and many senior priests who now lead the Catholic Church in Kerala. He was a well-known retreat preacher among religious communities and a respected Catholic scholar who pursued higher studies and research at universities in Rome and Germany. He also served for 12 years as the Vicar General of the Diocese of Palakkad, for 2 years as its Administrator, and held important positions such as Chancellor and Judicial Vicar.In this book, he reflects on the many challenges faced by those who respond to God's call, drawing from his own life and experiences.
