ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ നമ്മെ അതിശയിപ്പിക്കും, മറ്റ് ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ നമ്മെ അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കും. ഇനിയും ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ നമ്മെ പിന്തുടരും. സാവിയോയുടെ ഈ കുറിപ്പുകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോയപ്പോൾ ഒരു വായനക്കാരനെന്ന നിലയിൽ ഞാൻ അതിശയിക്കുകയും അനുഭവിക്കുകയും അവയിലെ ആശയങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പിന്തുടരുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ അവതരണക്കുറിപ്പ് എഴുതാൻ എന്തിനാണ് ഇത്രയുമൊക്കെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ വലിച്ചുനീട്ടി പറയുന്നതെന്ന് ഒരുപക്ഷേ ചിലർകെങ്കിലും തോന്നിയേക്കാം. പറഞ്ഞുവരുന്നത് മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല സാവിയോയുടെ കുറിപ്പുകൾ എന്നെ അതിശയിപ്പിക്കാനും അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കാനും കൂടെ നടക്കാനും പ്രേരണയായതിന് പിന്നിൽ ആ ജീവിതത്തെ അടുത്തറിഞ്ഞതും കാരണമായി എന്ന് പറയാനാണ്.
സാവിയോ, എഴുതുക ഇനിയും, നിൻ്റെ വരികളിൽ ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ അഭിഷേകമുദ്രയുണ്ട്. ആ വരികൾ വായിക്കുമ്പോള് പല തിരിച്ചറിവുകളും തിരിഞ്ഞുനോട്ടങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക്  ലഭിക്കുന്നുമുണ്ട്. നിൻ്റെ  ജീവിതം പ്രകാശമായി മാറട്ടെ.

Some things surprise us, some touch our hearts, and others stay with us for a long time. As I read Savio's reflections, I experienced all three. They surprised me, moved me deeply, and their ideas continued to remain in my thoughts. Some may wonder why I am saying so much in a foreword to a book. The reason is simple: Savio's writings had such a powerful impact on me, and knowing his life personally helped me appreciate them evenmore. 

Savio, keep writing. Your words carry the touch of God's grace. Every time we read them, they help us gain new insights and look at life from a fresh perspective. May your life continue to shine as a light to others.
